“…delivers a well organised and professional event.”
The Tour de Yorkshire has grown to be regarded as one of the biggest and best supported races in the sport.
On Friday 4 May both the Tour de Yorkshire women’s race and stage 2 of the men’s race finished at the Cow and Calf in Ilkley. The first time that Ilkley has hosted a start or finish of a stage during the event.
To mark this special event the Manor House hosted a cycling event in celebration of its cycling heritage and giving visitors the chance to visitors to learn more about the links with cycling including when in the 1900s one of the tenant families ran a cyclist’s café at the Manor House.
We worked with the Manor House to develop and run the cycling event to showcase the site that included a cycling café, games and activities, as well as taster sports massage sessions from the Wellness Mission, one of the tenants from the Manor House cottages.
‘Working with Amanda is always interesting and creative. She is full of imaginative ideas but as well as that she also delivers a well organised and professional event.’
Sarah Thomas, Chair of Ilkley Manor House Trust
